Upcoming adaptation of the PlayStation game for the big screen, Gran Turismo won a detailed trailer this Tuesday (2), showing a little bit of what audiences will find in the exciting story of a gamer who became a professional racer.

The new video offers a deeper look at the story than the teaser shown during CES 2023 earlier this year. For example, it is the first time that the Gran Turismo games appear in official cinematic material, which until then had focused more on automotive elements.
Director Neill Blomkamp spoke about the adaptation on the PlayStation Blog: “I’ve always been very close to games throughout my career and have never seen something like Gran Turismo where the movie itself treats the game as a game“. Gran Turismo is based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a young man who learned to drive by playing and became a professional driver, competing against other drivers in real life.
The debut of Gran Turismo in Brazilian theaters is scheduled for August 10th.
