The KION online cinema has revealed the date of the premiere of the new action-packed series by Nikolai Khomeriki “Save the only son” with Alexei Serebryakov and Anna Ardova in the lead roles. The project, inspired by Lika Bulatova, who learned that her son was captured by terrorists, will be shown for the first time on May 12. The multi-part tape was produced by the World Russian Studios company commissioned by KION and the NTV channel.

In the story, Doctor Lika Bulatova (Anna Ardova) learns that her son Vasily (Valery Stepanov) has disappeared while on vacation in Greece. FSB investigators suspect that Vasily has joined Syrian militants. Lika is sure that her son was kidnapped. Lika finds and asks for help the biological father Vasily Pavel (Aleksey Serebryakov). Pavel is also a doctor, but his career and personal life did not work out, and he has problems with the law. Together they go to a foreign country, where they conduct dangerous searches, end up in a war zone, and every day they risk death, finding a new meaning in life. They have one goal – to save their only son, to get him out of captivity alive.

Nikolai Khomeriki is an auteur film director who has already worked with KION on the fourth season of the popular TV series Pregnancy Test. In 2005, he received the second prize in the short film competition at the Cannes Film Festival for the film “Together”, his full-length films “977” (2006) and “A Tale of Darkness” (2009) were also shown there. and film festivals, and his latest feature film “The Sea is Worried Once” (2021) won the Kinotavr festival competition.
