Star Wars: This is the detail that George Lucas puts into each of his films

Chase in the middle of the forest, race in the dunes or crossover in space …

Like Latin duels, tense battles, or even abundant bestsellers, the chase is an integral part of the Star Wars saga and systematically appears in every episode directed or written by George Lucas.

A car and speed lover, the filmmaker – who also signed the humming American graffiti before heading to the distant galaxy of Star Wars – does not hide his taste for these types of sections.

In an audio commentary on the attack of the clones, when Obi-Wan and Anakin carry out a dizzying chase in the buildings of Coruscant, Lucas admits that he respects the repetition of the experience. In each part of Star Wars:

“I love persecution”he says. “I love car racing and I definitely watch all the movies in one form or another, or on the race scene. I just love the speed of the chase, the tension and the excitement.”

And indeed, when we interrupt the first 6 episodes of the saga (directed or supervised by Lucas), we find that none of them deviate from the rule:

Clearly, even if they are not performed by George Lucas, episodes VII, VIII, and IX of the saga reinforce this tradition.
