Steve Kazanjian, CEO of Promax, resigns –

Steve Kazanjian is stepping down as president and CEO of Promax, a trade association for entertainment, promotion and design marketing professionals.

Kazanjiani has held this role since 2015 and will work as a consultant to the association for the next few months. He is leaving after Promax is particularly vulnerable during a pandemic.

“It was two incredible years of experimentation and innovation. “Now is the time to say goodbye,” Kazanjiani said in a statement. Instead, Stasi La Cotera, currently general manager and executive producer and a 14-year veteran of Promax, was promoted to lead the association.

“Steve played a crucial role in the development and success of Promax. We sincerely thank Steve for his dedicated leadership, which has included many significant achievements through the challenges of industry consolidation and the unprecedented period of the pandemic. “While his inspiring leadership will be missed, we wish him every success in his new endeavors,” Promax co-chairs Stephanie Gibbons and Alan Byrd said in a joint statement.

La Cotera has welcomed her new role as the host of Los Angeles-based Promax. “I am honored and grateful to the Board to be able to lead this special partnership, which is one of the most incredible global marketers and creatives in the media and entertainment industry,” he said.

La Cotera joined Promax at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
