Dragon House: Will Writers’ Strike Block Season 2?

Dragon House: Will Writers’ Strike Block Season 2?

While all of Hollywood begins to tremble because of the strike movement started by the Screenwriters Guild of America (WGA).

Therefore, the entertainment industry is preparing for a major disruption, and the shooting of films and series, as well as the filming of talk shows, may be completely stopped until the negotiations, aimed especially at salary increases, are completed.

But some filming manages to slip through the cracks, and this is especially true of the second season of Dragon House. Currently in production on the English side, the Game of Thrones prequel isn’t really affected by the blowout, with all of its eight episodes fully scripted.

According to our colleagues variety, the show’s production would pressure its writers to deliver all scripts by the end of the weekend, so that their work would not be interrupted by the official start of the strike. British screenwriters who are members of the Writers Guild of America have also been asked to suspend their work, as have their American counterparts.

However, there is doubt that the program’s writers can make changes to an already written script, and so it is not entirely out of the question that the production will be forced to convert current scripts to speech without doing so. Can change the slightest line of dialogue.

So it seems very likely that House of the Dragon won’t have much of an impact on the situation, but keep in mind that Season 2 won’t be released until the summer of 2024 – at best.

The first season of House of the Dragon is now available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video with a Warner Pass subscription.
