PF carries out search and seizure of Bolsonaro’s home on the basis of false vaccination data, says source

This Wednesday, the federal police are carrying out a search and seizure warrant at the home of former president Jair Bolsonaro in Brasilia as part of an operation to investigate the feeding of false vaccination data into health systems, according to a source.

According to the source, Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, former assistant of Bolsonaro, and security guard of former president Max Guilherme were arrested in the same operation.

In a statement about the operation that does not mention the names of the suspects, the PF informed that 16 search and seizure warrants and six preventive arrest warrants were being executed in Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro, as well as analyzing the material seized during research and testimonials from people who have information about the facts.

Operation “Venire” aims to clarify the work of a criminal association set up to commit the crimes of entering false vaccination data against Covid-19 in the Ministry of Health’s SI-PNI and RNDS systems.

The false entries took place, according to the PF, between November 2021 and December 2022, and caused “alteration of the truth” on the condition of the beneficiaries to be immunized against Covid-19.

“With this, such people were able to issue their respective vaccination certificates and use them to bypass the current health restrictions imposed by public authorities (Brazil and the United States) aimed at preventing the spread of contagious diseases, in this case the Covid-19.19 pandemic” , explained the PF.

The facts investigated theoretically constitute offenses of infringement to the extent of health prevention, criminal association, insertion of false data in information systems and corruption of minors, explained the Federal Police.
