Russia launches series of drone strikes in Ukraine

The action was reportedly in response to an alleged attack on the Kremlin

Russia launched attacks with 24 kamikaze drones between the night of this Wednesday (3) and the morning of this Thursday (4) and 18 of them were shot down, the Ukrainian Air Force informed according to the “RBC-Ukraine” portal .

The equipment was thrown from the Bryansk region, on the border between the two countries, and also from the fleet in the Azov Sea and fell in various parts of the territory. There are no reports of people injured.

In Odessa, the Armed Forces published photos of the crashed drones and the equipment bore the phrases “For Russia” and “For the Kremlin,” in reference to the alleged Ukrainian attack on the Russian seat of power in Moscow on the day Before. Despite the government’s accusations, Kiev has denied any action against the presidential area.

“The enemy attacked us with 15 Shahed 131/136 and 12 were destroyed by our air defense. Three hit a school in Odessa, but no one was injured,” says the military post.

The Russian Foreign Ministry continues to claim that Ukraine has taken actions against the Kremlin and said in a statement “that the terrorist and sabotage activities by the armed forces in Russia are reaching an unprecedented level”. The Russians accuse Kiev of carrying out targeted attacks on railway stations and oil facilities in areas close to the borders.

France spoke of the drone attack on the Kremlin, calling the episode “strange to say the least”.

According to the chancellor Catherine Colonna, in an interview with “France Inter”, Paris “does not want to participate in hypothetical games”, but that “it is very incomprehensible in a normal situation” that drones can get so close to the Kremlin without being intercepted.
