Haaland reveals how he will celebrate the record in English: ‘This is my life’

With the goal scored in the win against West Ham, Manchester City forward Haaland reached his 35th goal of the 2022/23 English league and became the top scorer in only one edition of the tournament, a feat that was Alan Shearer’s and Andy Cole. After the triumph, the Norwegian has revealed how he will celebrate the record.

“I don’t think about it now. We can’t keep talking about these records or I’m going to go crazy. Now I go home, play video games, eat something and sleep. This is my life,” he replied in an interview with sky sports.

One of the highlights of City’s season, the striker scored 51 goals in 45 games for the English club. At the moment, the team is still alive on the three fronts it competes in (English Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League).

In the interview, the young 22-year-old goalscorer stated that it was possible to win the treble, but he reiterated his attention to his next match, against Leeds United, in the Premier League. “Everyone knows it’s possible, but we can’t think about the FA Cup final now when we face Leeds in three days’ time,” he added.

At the top of the English Premier League, Manchester City have 79 points, one more than vice leaders Arsenal, with one shift less than Arteta’s men. Thus, the team tries to maintain the advantage against Leeds, in a match that takes place this Saturday, at 11 (Brasilia time), at home, at the Etihad Stadium.
