On NCIS M6: an unusual record was broken by one of the actors of the series!

And one of his hobbies is that disabled actors are not limited to playing disabled characters. In an episode of NCIS: Hawaii, Kurt Yeager plays Sergeant Major Strand, the father of Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachie).

“My character in NCIS: Hawaii has nothing to do with disability“, Kurt Jaeger confided. “Things are changing and people are saying to me, “You can play any character!” I could always play anyone. 95% of acting is done from the chest!“

In 2014, Kurt Yeager first appeared on NCIS. In the first season of the detective series, he played ex-Navy Sergeant Freddie Lin, who lost the use of his legs when a piece of broken armor hit his spinal cord. He then helped investigators trace the origin of defective vests sent to troops overseas.

In 2019, he portrayed Kevin Sims, a law enforcement officer who suffers a life-changing injury in Season 5 of NCIS: New Orleans.

It was on NCIS: Los Angeles that the actor made his longest appearance since he appeared in episode 5 of season 8. He lent his features to Sullivan, a foot veteran who turned out to be a CIA agent seeking revenge on Kensi. Bly (Daniela Rua).

By appearing in an episode of NCIS: Hawaii, Kurt Jaeger thus completes the cycle and achieves the minor record of appearing in four series of the franchise. A success it will probably only achieve, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Los Angeles were canceled.
