Return of Rey, Origins of the Force… What do you have in store for future Star Wars projects?

Star Wars: Ahsoka – August 2023

Created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni for the 2008 animated film The Clone Wars, Togruta’s character Ahsoka Tano quickly became a fan favorite. Good news: After the Clone Wars, Jedi, and Rebel tales, the one who was once Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan should have his own TV series!

If Ahsoka’s voice was briefly heard in the cinema in episode 9, it is definitely in the series, where the ancient Jedi will continue to develop from August on Disney +.

A few years after the events Star Wars: RebelsAhsoka returns as actor Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Percy Jackson, Daredevil) to investigate a strange threat in the far reaches of the galaxy that could disrupt the still-unstable New Republic.

The heroine will meet many familiar faces in her odyssey, such as Commander Rex, Pilot Hera, Mandalorian Sabine and even Jedi Ezra.

Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew – 2023

Another series in the pipeline, Skeleton Crew should see the light of day by the end of 2023. Starring Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes, Fantastic Beasts, Captain Marvel), Skeleton Crew follows the journey of four children lost in the depths of the galaxy. And they are looking for a return to their homeland.

At the helm of this mysterious project is the famous Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), the Oscar-winning directors of Everything Everywhere at Once.

Star Wars: The Acolyte – 2024

Slated for 2024 on Disney+, The Acolyte series will explore an as-yet little-known period in Star Wars history that is already hugely popular with fans of the Expanded Universe: the High Republic.

Set 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace, a young Jedi (Amandla Stenberg) meets her former master (Lee Jung-jae) to investigate strange crimes. Do these disturbing events mark the return of the centuries-lost Sith? Only one thing seems certain: these events are connected to the dark side.

The Last Mandalorian Adventure – coming soon

The first Star Wars series launched by Disney +, The Mandalorian recently ended its third season to the regret of its fans. But to their surprise, they learn at a Star Wars celebration that the adventures of Dean Jarrin (Pedro Pascal) and his beloved Grogu may end… in a movie!

After three seasons and a spin-off centering on the famous Boba Fett, The Mandoverse really needs to end with a grand cinematic finale, directed by Dave Philon. The most anticipated return, since the director has already distinguished himself with certain episodes of the series The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars, of which he is the creator.

Ray’s big comeback – coming soon

2019 was calling The end of Ray’s journey. The grandson of Emperor Palpatine, the young Jedi managed to permanently banish his grandfather’s shadow from the galaxy at the end of an epic battle by combining the teachings of the Skywalker children. But his story isn’t over yet, as he seems determined to fulfill his mentor Luke’s dream: to found a new Jedi Order.

While the identity of the director responsible for this new film project has not been revealed, Daisy Ridley has already confirmed that she will reprise her role in this new opus. The first of a new trilogy? Nothing seems to be decided yet.

Origins of the Force – coming soon

The last film to be announced at Star Wars Celebration, this third film promises to be both original and exciting. As rich as it is, the saga spans “only” 70 years. And if Asulite Promising to bring you an era never seen before, this third film will take audiences the furthest they’ll ever go as it goes back to… the origins of the Force itself! Still very mysterious, this project promises to be rich with revelations and twists.
