    We already have a first look at Idris Elbeabsolute star of the series ‘Luther’ (and of ‘Luther: night falls’, the Netflix movie that is worth it) and of ‘The Beast’, in the new thriller that AppleTV+ will premiere on June 28, titled ‘Hijack’ and that it seems to become one of the best intrigue series to get hooked on and, perhaps, one of the best suspense series of the 21st century.

    The actor plays an expert negotiator named Sam Nelson who is on a hijacked plane that he is going to London and that You must use your skills to save the passengers.

    The first images show Elba’s character sitting in a first-class seat, while we also get a first look at the co-star. Archie Panjabi like Zahra Ghafoor, an anti-terrorist agent.

    ‘Hijack’ has been described as “a taut thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane bound for London on a seven-hour flight as authorities on the ground struggle to find answers.”

    It will also star Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles.

    Elba is also an executive producer of the series along with George Kay and is directed by Jim Field Smithduo in charge of ‘Criminal: Spain’, from Netflix, one of the best Spanish series on Netflix that you must see.

    Meanwhile, last month, Elba responded to critics for his recent commentsin which he said that he no longer described himself as a “black actor”declaring to ‘Guardian’: “I think that as I get older – now I’m 50 years old – we are all afraid of saying too much, of sharing more than necessary and other things.”

    “And in these times, it is very difficult to have an opinion if you are in the spotlight of public opinionbecause it is subjected to excessive scrutiny, is taken out of context and gets into some kind of bullshit discussion on social media.”

    Elbe added: “That I say that I do not like to call myself a black actor is my prerogative. That’s me, not you. So for you to turn around and tell me I’m ‘denying my blackness’. In what you base? Have you heard that? Where am I denying it? And because? It’s stupid. Does not matter”.
