While Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is currently in cinemas, the second part of the Marvel trilogy, directed by James Gunn, will be broadcast tonight on TF1. This new adventure, in which Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, discovers who his real father is, holds many treasures for lovers of small hidden details.
Indeed, like any Marvel feature film, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is a veritable gold mine for Easter egg hunters. We suggest you open your eyes towards the beginning of the movie, exactly at 24 minutes and 48 seconds.
Before the verbal confrontation between Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Stakar, the leader of the Ravagers, played by Sylvester Stallone, while the planet Kontraxia shows off its cyberpunk style through a few shots, we can actually see the costumed duck sitting at the bar. It suited a young woman.
That character – pretty easy to spot because there’s 4 seconds left on screen – is none other than Howard the Duck, as all Marvel fans have surely figured out.
The sad hero of his own feature film – Howard’s New Breed of Heroes, in 1986 – this extraterrestrial palmipede, whose adventures on the big screen were produced by George Lucas, met with special acclaim from the public and critics.
The Weber-like hero of this commercial failure still remained a figure vintage in the hearts of fans and therefore offered a few small appearances in the MCU. In addition to this small scene of strong flirting in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, in the post-credits scene of the first opus, we could already see the “ugly duckling” locked behind the collector’s windows.

Also featured in the animated series What if…?, the character also made a much more discreet cameo at the end of Avengers: Endgame, where we briefly spotted him in an army of superheroes facing off against Thanos’ legions.
