Un Si Grand Soleil preview: Tuesday May 9, 2023 episode recap [SPOILERS]

Evan and Chloe argue

In the morning, Evan gets a call from Elizabeth, who informs him that Francois has agreed to the clause. If the doctor is impressed, he wants to know what made him change his mind. Elizabeth then explains to him that François was surprised by her demands as a seasoned businessman. After hanging up, Evan shares the good news with Chloe and Robin. Only, Chloe’s head is elsewhere and she lacks enthusiasm, which her son has not missed.

Meanwhile, Mark is furious. Although he never imagined that Chloe would leave her husband for him, the journalist did not think that he would dump her so quickly. Convinced that Chloe will eventually return, Alix warns her. Dating a married woman is never easy, he realizes that he is about to lose his mind. Despite everything, Mark is ready to take everything for her.

In turn, Master Levars and former assistant Francois Laumiere meet Claudine in the courtroom and offer her a reconciliation. The latter then replies that if they don’t want to start legal proceedings against Francois to get compensation, they will have to withdraw the complaint. A demand that Francois’ former aide finds patently unfair.

Chloe, who overheard the conversation, later asks Master Levers client if everything is okay. After pointing out that this has been going on for two years, he adds that he has even suffered from depression and cannot find work. Chloe tries to calm him down, but he’s going to give up on the complaint to get some peace of mind. Strongly advising him against it, Chloe points out that Francois is only doing all this to break up. He may be perfectly aware of this, but Francois has to move on. As he thanks Chloe for taking the time to listen to him, he leaves.

A few steps away, Mr. Andre goes to the Midi Libre and asks to speak to the journalist in charge of the legal chronicle. As she makes a scene, the editor comes and tries to figure out why she wants to see him. Andrié then explains that he is the father of the victim mentioned in this defamatory article. She also accuses the journalist in question of turning her daughter’s killer into a hero with full redemption. Although he understands her reaction, Jacques still points out that there is no proof that the article is about his daughter. Angry, Andrey demands the name and contact information of the journalist who wrote the article, but Jacquie dismisses him.

At the end of the day, Francois Laumier receives his guests for his birthday. Evan, Chloe, Elizabeth and Allen are present. In the evening, Francois openly criticizes the public service, which does not please Chloe, who accuses him of being cynical, primarily interested only in money. However, the clerk does not stop there and continues to criticize. As Francis tries to figure out if he did something wrong to cause this reaction, Chloe mentions the name of her former assistant.

He then explains that he met her in court today and told her how he ruined her life. Francois laughed and told him to be careful. As Chloe tries to figure out if she’s being threatened, François looks at Evan and says his wife is crazy. Not afraid of him, Chloe continues to abuse him. In turn, embarrassed Evan tries to stop his companion and accompany him to the exit.

After leaving, the doctor tries to find out what’s going on. Chloe then replies that she just hates Lamier and that it did her a lot of good to let him go. When Evan blames him for what he’s trying to build, Tony escalates and they argue.

If Chloe doesn’t recognize her husband after starting this project, Evan thinks the same. When she scolds him for embarrassing her in front of everyone, he sends her to drop off her luggage and leaves.

Louis shares his suspicions about Jules

With the money, Theis rented an old convertible car to spend the afternoon with Louis, Kira and Jules. After a short walk, the whole gang gathers for bowling. An opportunity for Jules to ask Louis if he wants to be his brand ambassador. Of course he refuses.

At the end of the day, Louis tells Kira about his worries about Jules. Indeed, the teenager finds him smelly and interested in money. The words are strongly contested by Kira, who accuses him of criticizing her without her knowledge. Louis then confesses that he doesn’t like Jules before returning home.
