Some anime series have been adapted to the big screen such as “Ghost in the Shell” and more recently, Knights of the Zodiactape that leaves the entire audience angry.
A similar reaction was the one he caused decades ago “Dragonball: Evolution”, which when it premiered in 2009 was called one of the worst adaptations ever made, since it completely changed the story and the CGI effects were deplorable.
What does the actor who starred in ‘Dragon Ball: Evolution’ look like? This is how the actor is today
The main character was Goku, who was played by Justin Chatwin and believe it or not, the actor is still active in the entertainment world. Then you will learn a little about his life and what he did after “Dragonball: Evolution”.
Born in Canada, the actor had already appeared in various series and films before landing the lead role, but his name hadn’t caught on until the anime adaptation was announced, which promised to be epic.
Unfortunately for him, ‘Dragonball: Evolution’ was panned by critics and this directly affected Chatwin, who spent two years without work until returning to acting in 2011’s ‘FunkyTown’.
Other productions in which he participated were ‘Shameless’, ‘Orphan Black’, ‘American Gothic’, ‘Doctor Who’ or Smallville’.
Justin Chatwin is currently 40 years old and loves outdoor activities like hiking, surfing and even one of his biggest passions is riding a motorcycle.
A hidden talent of the famous is the great photographer, since he has his own website where he publishes his best shots that have been recognized outside his home country.
Although he tried to clear his name in films like ‘In the Cloud’ in 2018, ‘Summer Night’ a year later and starred in the Netflix series ‘Another Life’ from 2019 to 2021, he couldn’t shine again like him. I expected it after ‘Dragonball: Evolution’.
In his Instagram account, he appears to be a happy man with what he has achieved in his life and even maintains a close interaction with his followers, who seem to have forgotten his dark past.
Chatwin’s appearance today has caused some to mistake him for Aaron Paul, the actor who starred in the award-winning series ‘Breaking Bad’, as they bear a strong physical resemblance.
All indications are that the man who brought Goku to life on film doesn’t want to retire from acting just yet, but the strangest thing of all is that he has never openly commented on whether he regrets his role in ‘Dragonball: Evolution’ or No.
