Expected to hit theaters on July 19th, 2023, Oppenheimer offers an enticing new trailer!
After Dunkirk, released in 2017, Christopher Nolan once again took an interest in World War II, telling us the story of the creation of the atomic bomb.
Cillian Murphy steps into the suit of Robert Oppenheimer, a major historical figure considered the father of nuclear weapons.
“It’s a lot of pressure. The character was complex, contradictory and iconic. But I knew I was working with one of the greatest directors of all time. I felt confident with Chris Nolan.”– said the actor in particular at the microphone Associated Press.
In these new images, punctuated by the distinctive sound of a Geiger counter, General Leslie Groves, played by Matt Damon, tries to assemble a team of scientists to win the race for the atom.

This summer, Christopher Nolan takes us behind the scenes of the Manhattan Project, which Oppenheimer led from 1942-1946. In addition to Cillian Murphy, the British director called a special cast.
Emily Blunt stars as Kitty Oppenheimer alongside Robert Downey Jr. as Louis Strauss. The game also stars Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Jack Quaid, Gary Oldman and Josh Hartnett. Note also the sneaky appearance of Albert Einstein, played by Tom Conti in the film.
Oppenheimer will be released in French cinemas on July 19, 2023.
