Ray Liotta dies at 67

Ray Liottahistory of North American cinema thanks to, among others, his work on ‘One of ours‘ (Martin Scorsese, 1990), has died in his sleep at the age of 67.

As reported dead linethe actor was in the Dominican Republic filming ‘Dangerous Waters‘ (John Barr) alongside Saffron Burrows Y eric dane. Further details of the causes of his death have not yet been released.

Present on the big screen since its premiere in 1980 with a small role in the forgotten ‘The one with the helmet and some legs‘ (Lee Philips), Liotta gained popularity at the turn of the decade with his participation in ‘The strength of a lesser being‘ (Robert M. Young, 1988) and ‘field of dreams‘ (Phil Alden Robinson, 1989), but it was his spectacular role alongside Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci Y Lorraine Braco in ‘One of ours‘ (Martin Scorsese, 1990) the one that made him a star.

Since then he managed to stay in the limelight with titles like ‘Absolom’s Escape‘ (Martin Campbell, 1994), ‘Copland‘ (James Mangold, 1997), ‘Blow‘ (Ted Demme, 2001), ‘Hannibal‘ (Ridley Scott, 2001), ‘narc‘ (Joe Carnahan, 2002) and ‘Identity‘ (James Mangold, 2003).

He currently seemed to be on a roll, and after working for Noah Baumbach in ‘story of a marriage‘ and embody two twin brothers in ‘criminal saints‘ (Alan Taylor, 2021), has starred alongside Taron Egerton Y Greg Kinnear the Apple TV+ series ‘black bird‘.
