The Bridgerton Chronicle is a safe bet for Netflix. And her predecessor Queen Charlotte confirms it. Media variety reveals that in just under a week, the Shonda Rhimes series has seen nearly 150 million hours — 148.28 million hours to be exact.
With total viewers, again according to Variety, these figures amount to 22 million. A very good performance, but one that doesn’t top the impressive Season 2 scores of the parent series.
By comparison, The Bridgerton Chronicle’s second chapter amassed 251.74 million hours watched. At the time of its release in March 2022, the series even held the record for the biggest week ever by an English-language series. That record was surpassed later on Wednesday with 341 million viewing hours.
This new success for the Bridgerton franchise bodes well for the next release of Season 3, which is slated for early 2024. as for Queen CharlotteWhile the project was first seen as a limited series — one season, that is — creator Shonda Rhimes revealed that she wasn’t closing the door on a sequel.
