President of Mexico to present constitutional reform for the election of judges and magistrates

Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Wednesday he would introduce constitutional reform so that judges and magistrates are elected by the people.

López Obrador has attacked the judiciary in recent days after an electoral reform, which would have reduced the country’s electoral authority, was partially overturned by the Supreme Court.
