HPI on TF1: Season 3 better than last?

Morgan Alvaro and Inspector Karadek mark their big return to television this Thursday 11 May from 9pm on TF1 for the highly anticipated third season of HPI. To remind you, last June, the authors of the most popular detective series of French television left us on an unbearable cliff.

After years of trying to uncover the truth about the death of Romain, her ex-lover and the father of her daughter Thea, Morgan (Audrey Fleurot) is shocked to find him living quietly in Brighton, England, with a new wife and girlfriend. child.

A drama that made the consultant question his whole life. While she was in tears, Karadetz (Mehdi Nebibu) and she exchanged a passionate kiss. And if many fans of the series already imagined that season 3 would focus on the love story between our two heroes, they will be disappointed very soon.

The writers of these new episodes really decided to go home a bit. After the kiss, and especially in the face of Karadek’s reaction, Morgan decides to leave the police force and take up cleaning.

Of course, the latter cannot keep his nose in someone else’s business. When a woman who employs him admits that she is being followed, he begins an investigation in hopes of finding the culprit and, above all, making money to pay off his outstanding debts.

And if Morgan decides to cut ties with his former colleagues Karadek, Gilles (Bruno Sanchez), Celine (Marie Denareau) and Daphne (Béranger McNeese), he will soon need their help to get out of a more difficult situation. How delicate. .

This start to season 3 follows the decent line of the previous seasons. Morgan’s stunts and incredible looks, the explorations that take place at a thousand miles an hour and above all the always entertaining moments of comedy are elements that we are happy to find again. Editing, still as dynamic, again and again plays on the codes of the genre and offers memorable moments that are sure to make you smile.

And with the arrival in Season 2 of Clotilda Hesme, who plays Karadek’s girlfriend Roxanne, this new burst of episodes also marked the introduction of a new character, Timothy (played by Jeremy Levine). He’ll be able to find his place at the police station very quickly, much to the chagrin of Morgan, who doesn’t take too kindly to this new recruit’s arrival.

If we might have been afraid that the series would start going in circles after three seasons, the first three episodes that we could see put us at ease: the writers still have pleasant surprises in store.

And the characters, who are always so likable, should continue to gain depth. Especially since we can’t help but wonder what will happen to Karadek and Morgan’s relationship, which has been strained since their kiss.

Is it possible to have a relationship between them? Will they be able to forgive themselves for their mistake? Answer in Season 3, which arrives on Thursday 11 May at 9.10pm on TF1. However, you will have to put up with your troubles to discover the rest of the adventures of Morgan Alvaro and Inspector Karadek, because the front page decided to broadcast only one new episode of the evening.
