Is Adam Warlock the villain of Toy Story? The new Marvel actor says he is “recognized” on the streets for his resemblance to the character from the animation

Actor Will Poulter joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and has been compared to a Toy Story villain.

Will Poulter was known for Maze Runner: Run or Die and Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as the mighty character Adam Warlock in theaters. Recently, the actor revealed that he’s already been mistaken for one of Toy Story’s surprising villains.

In an interview with GQ magazine, Will Poulter revealed that he was mistaken for a live-action version of Sid from Toy Story (1995), Andy’s sadistic neighbor, who in the film tortured the toys and even made them explode with fireworks.

“A guy at a urinal in LA last week turned to me and said, ‘You’re in Toy Story, aren’t you? I appreciate that there are memes around me: I dressed up as Sid from Toy Story for anti-bullying week. So it probably didn’t help my case. But [Toy Story saiu em] 1995. I was two years old. And they weren’t doing it through live-action,” the new actor joining the MCU explained about this confusion of some people.

In Toy Story, Woody, a kind-hearted cowboy doll that belongs to a boy named Andy, finds his position as Andy’s favorite toy in jeopardy when his parents buy him a Buzz Lightyear action figure. To make matters worse, he thinks he’s a real astronaut on a mission to return to his home planet. When Andy’s family moves to a new house, Woody and Buzz must escape the clutches of sadistic neighbor Sid Phillips. Recalling that Toy Story 5 was recently confirmed.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the team tries to settle on Knowhere, but it’s not long before their lives are upended by echoes of Rocket’s (Bradley Cooper) turbulent past. While Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is still reeling from the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) after Avengers: Infinity War, he brings his team together on a perilous task to save his friend – a mission which, if not successfully completed, could take a long time, the end of the Guardians as we know them. The film features the first appearance of Will Poulter as Adam Warlock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
