Released in our darkrooms in February 2022, Thomas Gilles’ Maison de Retraite attracted more than 2 million viewers to French cinemas.
Kev Adams, Jarry, Gerard Depardieu, Daniel Prévost, Milen Demjon, Jean-Luc Bideau, Lillian Rovere, Firmin Richard or even Marte Villalonga, the comedy follows 30-year-old Milan (Adams). The latter is forced to perform 300 hours of community service in a nursing home. Its first few weeks are a real hell, but it is quickly adopted by the retirees. Over the weeks, Milan discovers that the facility is taking advantage of its residents’ vulnerabilities to destroy them. He then decides to make a great escape, but he’s not quite done with his misfortune…
Faced with the great success, UGC quickly decided to produce a sequel written by Kev Adams and this time directed by Claude Zide Jr. (Les Déguns, Ténor). Filming since April 24th, Nursing Home 2 has new residents.
Thus, Kev Adams and the army this time will answer Chantal Ladesu, Amanda Lear, Enrico Macias and … Jean Reno! Firmin Richard, Jean-Luc Bidaud, Daniel Prevost, Marte Villalongo and Lilian Rovere return.

Jean Reno will star in F. Gary Gray’s thriller Lift on August 25 on Netflix and will reprise his role as a cop in the sequel Antigang: La Relève alongside Alban Lenoir. The film will be released directly on Disney+.
