“I love being a part of the franchise. I’m very happy to be back.”
Tom Cruise has always dazzled with his ability to defy the laws of gravity and with his ability to perform the most extreme stunts. The actor rarely entrusts this task to stuntmen, and prefers to carry out any type of adventure himself.
In his famous movie saga, ‘Mission Impossible’, we have seen him on the brink of death on numerous occasions. However, contemplating it from the safety of the cinema seats, or from the sofa in our home, has no point of comparison with seeing it live and direct.
This has been recognized by his co-star from ‘Mission Impossible 7’, Vanessa Kirby, who was shocked to see the actor skydive after sending a motorcycle off a cliff in Iceland.
“I did it many times in one day,” Kirby recalled, speaking to Variety. “One after the other… Repeating endlessly so that it could be recorded from all angles and all possible sides.“
With a steady hand, never panicking, Cruise is capable of motorcycle jumping off a cliff, climbing a building or running from a massive explosion, there are no limits.
“I was so calmKirby commented.I was not afraid. He saw it as stimulating. For him it’s a belief in cinema, in what one can do and in his passion… It’s very inspiring. You really think you can do the impossible, and all of a sudden you do it.. I love being a part of the franchise. I’m very happy to be back.”
After several delays in its release, the new ‘Mission Impossible’ tape will hit theaters this July. Speaking about his involvement in the series, and his possible return in the future, Kirby added: “I would love for them to continue counting on me. My character… I love playing her because she’s so unusual and weird… she’s funny and ambiguous.“
The British actress has previously participated in other projects such as ‘The Crown’giving life to Princess Margarita during the first two seasons of the series; ‘A Matter of Time’, ‘Fragments of a Woman’ (which earned him an Oscar nomination in 2021), or ‘The son’the recent sequel to ‘The Father’ by Florian Zeller.
‘Mission Impossible: Deadly Judgment’ has not yet revealed the details of its synopsis. However, we know that we will see Cruise and Kirby accompanied by Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett, Hayley AtwellPom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Cary Elwes, and Greg Tarzan Davis.
This July 14, one of the most anticipated action movies of the year will finally hit theaters.
