Research Section: The Plot of New Reunion Episodes Finally Revealed!

New episodes of Research Unit just started filming in Reunion, and now we know more about the plot of this surprise sequel.

A few days ago we learned that TF1 had decided to relaunch the successful series led by Xavier Deluc and Franck Semonin, despite the program’s discontinuation two years ago and the broadcast of last year’s final event, which featured a particularly notable comeback. Some famous actors from the series, such as Jean-Pascal Lacoste, Virginie Cagliari or Christel Labeau.

Xavier Deluc (Bernier), Franck Semonin (Lucas), Fabien Carat (Jeanne), Félicité Chatton (Vicky) and Alice Thielroy (Ariel) will return for “Mortelle Randonnee,” a double episode shot from May 10 to June 6. Reunion Island and more specifically in Bellevue Forest National Park.

A new investigation by the research unit sees Bernier, newly retired, go on a trip to Reunion Island with his former colleagues. The program is idyllic, but no sooner have they arrived at the shelter cut off from the world where they are to spend the night, a hiker from their group is found dead hanging from a tree in a macabre scene.

While the wonderful team thought to disconnect and enjoy the sublime nature of the island, they find themselves at the center of a mystery whose powers exceed anything they have ever known…

Deprived of any means of communication and unable to alert the local authorities, Bernier is forced to return to work for a disturbing new investigation.

Between the spirits of the forest, local beliefs and the sprawling nature, the research unit explores the secrets of the island…

On the guest side, this evening’s new event welcomes the actors Olivier Sitruk (recently seen in the last season of Balthazar), Isabelle Vitar (our dear neighbors, L’amour (almost) parfait), Élodie Varlet (Plus belle la vie), who a few weeks ago It was illustrated in the TV movie The Secret of the Cave on France 3, Laurent Maurel (Revenge with bright eyes, Alexandra Elle) and young Soan Arhiman, who won The Voice Kids in 2019.

Directed by Abel Ferre (Le Saut du diable) and written by Laura Fontaine, Denis Alamercer and Yann Le Gall, “Dying March” will be broadcast in prime time on TF1 in the coming months, with no further details at this stage.
