Michelle Rodriguez has revealed the behind-the-scenes look at Louis Leterrier’s arrival in the film.
In May of last year, the Fast and Furious franchise suffered a severe blow: Justin Lin, director responsible for numerous titles in the saga, abandoned Fast and Furious 10 due to alleged disagreements with the protagonist of the plot, Vin Diesel. Instead of the director, Louis Leterrier, a name known in Hollywood, then decided to accept the mission to continue the film.
Recently, during an interview for the Los Angeles Times, Michelle Rodriguez, interpreter of the character Letty, opened up about the troubled moment mentioned. The actress said that Leterrier’s arrival on the set of the film “saved” the film in a way, praising the Frenchman’s work in regaining the cast’s trust.
“You’re ready to shoot, you haven’t finished a third act and your director just left. Welcome disappointment”put Rodriguez. “You ask yourself, ‘Will they find someone passionate enough to take care of the production and care enough?’ (…) He [Leterrier] he saved us. She saved our ass”completed.

It is worth mentioning that the Fast and Furious saga (in the original) is a strong figure when the subject is controversial, mainly in what involves Diesel. Previously, the interpreter of Dominic Toretto had already been responsible for an argument with Dwayne Johnson, which fueled the news of the web for months.
Whether or not hiring Leterrier was a good move, we won’t know until May 18. With an estimated budget of around $340 million, Fast X features the likes of Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham and more.
