Which Japanese animated series is inspired by “Red Alert”, a new feature film from Pixar Studios that is now only available on the Disney Plus platform?
From March 11, the brand new production of Pixar Red Alert is available exclusively on Disney +. The first feature film from a well-known studio to be directed entirely by a woman, this film tells the story of Maileen Lee, a thirteen-year-old teenager who is torn apart by an overly protective mother and the concerns of adolescence; His exaggerated emotionality then takes the form of a lovely giant red panda!
Inspired by his own teenage daughter, filmmaker Dom Shee, the film also paid tribute to many Japanese anime that shook his childhood. Notable are Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha, two series adapted from Rumiko Takahashi manga, or even Sailor Moon, also cited by film producer Rona Liu as the main influences:
