Batman: The Art of Concept from Ben Affleck’s Abandoned Film

The artist has released Concept Art from the discontinued film “Batman”, starring and directed by Ben Affleck.

As far back as November 2017, when Ben Affleck played Batman in the Justice League, a new opus related to the universe was named “DCEU” for the “DC Extended Universe”. Except that the version of Justice League that viewers find in cinemas is a “sick” movie.

The feature film is heavily retouched visually for what it should have been, and more than three-quarters of the film was brought back by Joe Whedon after the departure of Zack Snyder, who was then experiencing a personal tragedy. At that time the Justice League was to be followed by Aquaman in 2018, and in 2019 by a movie called … The Batman.

The Dark Knight must finally have his own film, starring Ben Affleck, who is also preparing the script and directing. But the Justice League’s dramatic experience of filming, the poor reception of the final film, and Affleck’s personal problems put an end to the project. The latter interferes and Warner begins the search for a new director and a new Bruce Wayne.

All that remains from this film is the script with which Affleck caught his hair and this concept, signed by the artist. Keith ChristensenWhich he recently shared on Instagram:

The creator even imagined a mechanical mask for the Dark Knight:

The villain in this feature film was supposed to be Slade Wilson, the same Deathstroke as it was announced on the Justice League (2017) post-Credit stage starring Joe Manganiello:

Batman version Ben Affleck can’t see the light of day, so Warner leaves Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson to apply for a new version of Gotham Vigil … keep the same title. Currently in cinemas, this reboot takes the opposite view of the older version of the protagonist and goes back to the early years of The Dark Knight.
