Titled Fast & Furious X in France, the first part of the final diptych (or trilogy if Universal confirms the twelfth part announced by Vin Diesel), will be released this Wednesday, May 17 in our cinemas.

Directed by French director Louis Leterrier, the feature film is titled Fast X in the US. Regarding the date of transfer No spoiling AlloCiné on TheStreamMenrau asked the filmmaker how to pronounce the title. And his answer is surprising.

Because Louis Leterrier himself doesn’t know whether to say fast 10 or fast X. The director declares: “Honestly, I don’t know yet. I’ve been writing this without words until now. I’m starting a tour and I still don’t know how to pronounce the title. I say X or 10, but anything is possible.”

In this new opus, Dom and his family will have to face a terrible enemy from the past: Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the son of the crooked businessman Hernán Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida).

In 2011’s Fast 5, Dom and Brian (Paul Walker) take down a notorious Brazilian drug kingpin by throwing his empire off a bridge in Rio de Janeiro. After 12 years, Dante developed a terrible plan. It chases Dom and his family across the four corners of the world, from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Antarctica to Portugal.

New alliances will be formed and old enemies will reappear. But everything changes when Dom realizes that Dante’s main target is none other than his barely 8-year-old son.
