Universal Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’sfilm adaptation of the famous horror games.

The film will premiere in theaters and on the Peacock streaming service (in the US) on October 27. The trailer showcases many elements players will recognize, from VHS tape effects to creepy animal-headed robots.
Another Five Nights at Freddy video leaked last week, and at the time, game creator Scott Cawthon asked fans to expect “a finished product that’s been tweaked and polished, with appropriate special effects and sound.”
The film production of Five Nights at Freddy’s is one of the longest of recent video game adaptations. The project began in 2015, eight years ago, and has since undergone several postponements and script revisions.
Five Nights at Freddy’s opens in theaters on October 27.
