The Cameroonian responds to the American’s comment on his rival’s exit from the PFL
Current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been teasing Francis Ngannou after the fighter agreed to a move to the Professional Fighters League (PFL). In a social media post, the American mocked the Cameroonian’s claim that he is “the wickedest man alive”.
– Calling you the baddest man on the planet across the street, who does? – questioned.
The Cameroonian soon replied to the statement, suggesting that Jones “cross the street”.

Ngannou won the UFC heavyweight belt after knocking out Stipe Miočić in March 2021. However, the Cameroonian chose not to renew his contract with the organization. Jones also mocked the choice made by the former champion and made a comparison with American football.
– My opponent wins a Super Bowl, gets transferred to a football arena, and then claims he’s better than (Tom) Brady. This is what I’m hearing now-he wrote.

After Ngannou’s departure, the UFC heavyweight belt was left without an owner. The organization awarded the title to Frenchman Ciryl Gane after the fighter defeated American Daniel Lewis. In March of this year, Jon Jones knocked out the European Championship and became the holder of the belt.
Francis Ngannou wanted to be licensed by the UFC to box, as well as require concessions for all fighters, such as health insurance. With the refusal of the organization to his requests, the Cameroonian has chosen not to renew the contract. Dana White, president of the UFC, said the fighter will never fight in the promotion again. In PFL he will also have an equity stake and the title of new president of “PFL Africa”.
