The show went down in history because of the shock of the fans and the band itself when they found out that bowie would retire his iconic persona. “It was a pivotal moment for his future. To leave Ziggy back was important for bowie become the artist who had unrivaled influence on music, film, fashion and more,” says a note published on the artist’s official website.
