The seventh CGI feature film from Pixar Studios, Cars was released in 2006. Co-produced by Disney Studios, it depicts the red racing car Lightning McQueen’s thrilling journey along the legendary Route 66.

Forced to abandon the circuit after a serious accident, number 95 undertakes to regain his confidence, aided by an enthusiastic and somewhat clumsy young trainer.

This story, tinged with melancholy, aims to reflect what real top sportsmen go through, touching on so many topics such as transmission, affiliation, obsolescence or even the place of women in the very feminine environment of motorsport.

And, for once, Pixar doesn’t skimp on the beauty of its visuals. The film is full of breathtaking and dynamic action scenes and benefits from absolutely sublime lighting, especially during the night sequences.
