If you don’t know Jimmy Tudesky, aka “Jimmy Tulips,” it’s because you’ve never seen My Neighbor With The Killer Bruce Willis!
Dentist Nicholas “Oz” Oseranski thought he was living a quiet life, but he discovers that his neighbor is none other than the killer Jimmy “Tulips” Tudeski. The latter brought his chef Gianni Gogolak to the police and now lives “orderly” by taking care of the house and cooking good food. Oz’s wife asks him to condemn La Tulipe, but the situation turns out to be even more complicated…
The Die Hard star is responding to comic actor Matthew Perry, who was then a smash hit on TV with Friends and who had already made the romantic comedy Love at First Sight and Consequences with Salma Hayek. Meeting the two men creates sparks between Perry’s terrified expression and Willis’ calm assurance.

The rest of the cast includes Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction), Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Line and who recently filmed Armageddon with Willis), Natasha Henstridge and Kevin Pollack.
The film has an interesting tone, alternating between moments of pure comedy, even as strange as in the dentist’s office, and moments of pure thriller, in which the entire cast is very comfortable. Even today, there’s a very nice vibe from My Killer Neighbor that makes it solid entertainment!

Released in France in May 2000, My Neighbor the Killer grossed $106.3 million worldwide on a $41 million budget. A complete success that would lead to a sequel released in France in 2004, soberly titled My Neighbor Killer 2, the lead actor is back.

But for a budget similar to the first film, this sequel flopped in the kingdom with just under $26 million collected internationally. Accordingly, there will be no third part and the franchise will stop there.
