What is it about?

who is he with
Aaron Piper remains in the stable that introduced him to the world with his new series. After Elite, which he left at the end of season 4, the actor is the headliner of this new Spanish production, in which he completely changes the register. She also meets actor Manu Rios, one of Las Encinas’ new students. Almudena Amor (seen in the horror film Abuela) plays a supporting role.
Is it worth checking out?
On paper, El Silencio has it all. The series begins with the mysterious murder of Sergio’s parents. The latter would attack them before they went out onto the balcony. After this crime, the young man remains silent. We don’t know why he did it and why he refuses to talk about it. The action will be renewed 6 years after these events. A psychiatrist decides to investigate the case – even if it means becoming obsessed – and that’s when everything goes wrong for the audience.
Because for a character who isn’t supposed to talk, Sergio is quite the talker. In fact, he talks to those who care about him (his tutor who helps him get closer to God, the group he uses to find a family member…). Therefore, the original proposal is a bit biased.
El Silencio is still an effective thriller, as the Spanish know it. We forgive him for the “science experiment” side, which is a little too deliberate and too implausible to really believe in, and we allow ourselves to be transported into the protagonist’s psyche to understand how he killed his parents. Well, if he is really guilty). And in this role, Aaron Piper is quite believable… and at times terrifying.
The good news is that this is a mini-series and that the 6 episodes follow each other quite easily. In any case, the latter has some revelations for you and quite effective results…
