The brutal fight between Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez on the set of ‘Fast & Furious X’: “She’s like a wild cat”

Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez will engage in an epic fight in ‘Fast X‘, the new film in the ‘Fast and Furious’ saga, which arrives today, May 19, in movie theaters around the world.

What was it like filming one of the most anticipated fights in the saga? As Vin Diesel promises: “The public has been waiting for this fight since 20217 and boy is it worth it.”

Talking about his first approach to the scene, before arriving on set, Theron commented: “I read this scene and thought, ‘I can’t wait to see Letty fight.’ And then I was like, ‘Oh, she fights me. She is crushing me. I hallucinate’.“

By your side, Michelle Rodriguez He kept explaining what will consist of what we will see on the big screen.

“It is a good hand in hand between the two. But she’s a tough girl, so we’ll see what happens,” the actress said. “Letty is very angry in this scene.“

In the clip we can see how the actresses challenge each other, grab each other by the neck and, above all, have fun shooting this fragment of the film.

Louis Leterrier, director of the film, commented: “We had to make this fight the best in the entire ‘Fast & Furious’ saga.” After, Olivier Schneider and Patrick Vothe film’s stunt coordinators, kept adding: “They are like two lionesses facing each other“.

“The fight tells a story because Charlize doesn’t want to fight. But there’s Michelle, who wants to kill Charlize,” Vo commented. “When you see Michelle hit for the first time, it’s like an explosion. He surprised us even during training. She is like a wild cat, she moves in all directions.“

“I came to think that they were going to fight for real,” confessed the director of the film. “When you see Charlize Theron walk up to you and look directly into her eyes, she makes you feel tiny. She puts her soul into everything she does.”

Qualifying each other, Theron commented: “The way in which Michelle expresses the action with her body, with her gaze, is completely real. she is a bad beast. There were times when he scared me. Oh really.”

For his part, Rodriguez also praised the work of his partner: “She’s a monster as an opponent, I’ll admit. Cipher is obviously very technical. She is very prepared. Letty is more of a street fighter. Her power comes from her heart, so it’s interesting to see those two fighting styles go head to head.”
