HBO Max released the trailer for a documentary series on the history of Warner Bros., in honor of the 100 years of the studio completed last April 4th. “100 Years of Warner” will feature testimonials from more than 60 actors, directors and industry insiders, including Martin Scorsese (“The Irishman”), Oprah Winfrey (“A Wrinkle in Time”), Keanu Reeves (“John Wick 4”), Todd Phillips (“Joker”), Patty Jenkins (“Wonder Woman 1984”) and George Clooney (“Ticket to Paradise”).

“Warner Bros. was there from the beginning, not just creating an art form, but an industry, and you had to be firm,” Scorsese says in the trailer. “We all came to Warner Bros. for movies that had a special quality to them and we jumped at the chance.”

Divided into four parts, the series will be narrated by actor Morgan Freeman.

Directed by Leslie Iwerks, who also edited the Disney theme park documentary, “The Story of Imagineering”, released in 2019.

Featuring clips from films and television series produced by the studio, the series will tell the story of Warner Bros. since its founding, traversing the different stages of the studio’s evolution, which led the company to become a global entertainment powerhouse.

Created by brothers Harry, Albert, Sam and Jack Warner in the early 1920s, Warner Bros. has a long list of titles, including the “Harry Potter” franchise, “The Matrix” and DC Comics superhero films.

The first two parts arrive on HBO Max next Thursday (5/25), after debuting at the Cannes Film Festival the day before. The remaining two parts will be available on June 1st.
