Universal Pictures has released the first teaser posters for the game adaptation ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’. In the preview, actor Josh Hutcherson (“The Hunger Games”) appears terrified by terrifying animatronics in a sequence of scenes that mixes childhood allegories and ghosts.

The plot follows a security guard, played by Hutcherson, who takes a job at a local children’s pizza buffet. While on night watch, she discovers the electronic dolls come to life and must fight to survive.

In addition to Hutcherson, the cast includes Elizabeth Lail (“You”), Piper Rubio (“Holly & Ivy”), Kat Conner Sterling (“The Week of My Life”), Mary Stuart Masterson (“Benny & Joon”)” ) and Matthew Lillard (“Scooby-Doo”).

‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is a video game franchise created by Scott Cawthon and launched in 2014. It has quickly gained a huge fan base across the globe. In the games, players are challenged to survive being attacked by hostile animatronic characters in a haunted restaurant called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, using security cameras, lights and doors to investigate the area.

The production will feature design and special effects from the company of Jim Henson, head of the Muppets, which promises to make the animatronic dolls very realistic. The film is directed by experienced horror director Emma Tammi (“Haunted Land”).

The feature film will premiere on October 27 in the United States, simultaneously in theaters and on the Peacock platform. But there is still no date for the launch in Brazil.
