“Vikings: Valhalla”
This Netflix series and sequel to “Vikings” is based on factual facts. It takes place more than a hundred years after the end of the original series and narrates the controversy of the Viking pagans against those who had converted to Christianity.
The main characters are Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson) and the Scandinavian prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). The cast also includes Bradley Freegard, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Caroline Henderson, Laura Berlin and David Oakes.

The five seasons of this epic production are based on the epic “Saxons, Vikings and Normans” by Bernard Cornwell and tell the story of King Alfred the Great (David Dawson) in the kingdom of Wessex and his defense against the invading Danish Vikings.

“Scorpion”
The Danish production on Netflix is for the Vikings of Norheim in the year 790 AD. C. and although there are conflicts between factions and quarrels, the focus of the series is comedy.
This 2016 series was created by Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen and stars Kåre Conradi, Silje Torp, Nils Jørgen Kaalstad and Jon øigarden.

German production shows the confrontation between the legions of the Roman Empire against the tribes of savage German warriors trying to stop their expansion.
The cast of the 2020 series includes Laurence Rupp, Jeanne Goursaud, David Schütter, Ronald Zehrfeld, Nicki von Tempelhoff, Bernhard Schütz, Eva Verena Müller, Sophie Rois, Gaetano Aronica, Nikolai Kinski and Jeremy Miliker.
Ragnarok
Without being exactly historical Vikings, the series is currently set in the fictional city of Eda, where a group of young people realize that they are ancient gods of Scandinavian mythology.
The Norwegian drama stars David Stakston as Magne Seier / Thor, Herman Tømmeraas as Fjor Jutul, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø as Saxa Jutul and Jonas Strand Gravli as Loki or Laurits.
