It’s been almost 10 years since we last traveled with the Planet Express crew.. It’s been a decade of waiting, but finally ‘Futurama’, the series created by Matt Groening after ‘The Simpsons’, is back. The announcement of the return of ‘Futurama’ occurred in February 2022, when an order was given to carry out 20 new episodes of the popular animated sitcom, in what will technically be its eleventh and twelfth seasons.
‘Futurama’ follows Philip Frya 25-year-old pizza delivery man who accidentally freezes himself on New Year’s Eve 1999 and wakes up 1000 years later. If you’re already a fan of ‘The Simpsons’ and other Groening projects like the Netflix series ‘(Dis)enchantment’, you’ll surely love ‘Futurama’. But considering that this revival is a continuation of its previous chapters, you might want to catch up with previous seasons, all available on Disney+.

‘Futurama’: Release date of the new episodes
It was officially announced that the first episode of Futurama season 11 will be available to stream on Monday, July 24, 2023and subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Mondays.

Who are the voices of ‘Futurama’?
Almost all of the original voices will return for the new season: Billy West (Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg), katey sagal (Leela), Tress McNeille (Beautiful), Maurice LaMarche (morbid), Lauren Tom (Amy), Phil LaMarr (Hermes Conrad) and david hermann (Scruffy).
The last to join was John DiMaggio, the original voice of Benderwho tightened the rope to the maximum to receive an amount of money greater than that initially offered (thanks, in part, to the support of fans on social networks)

On May 18, Hulu (which is who broadcasts the episodes in the US) published a little progress from ‘Futurama’ which, at the same time, served as an announcement of the release date of the new episodes.
