Hortense’s birthday is full of surprises
Hortense asks Clotilda if she managed to convince Teissiere to replace Chef Guinot. While Chef Armani explains to him that it isn’t, they are interrupted by the director who tells him otherwise. Hortense jumps for joy, especially since it’s her birthday. For her part, Clotilda pushes her colleague to her limits to admit that she was right all along and that she was too stubborn to admit it.
Meanwhile, Evgeni is talking to her husband on the phone. He prefers not to come to their daughter’s birthday. After hanging up, she greets Hortense at the infirmary and wishes her a happy birthday, before congratulating her on her new teaching job.
For her first lesson, Hortense asks Year 2 students to work on a dish around joy. Teissier, who has come to observe him, finds that he works very well, even if his methods are still a bit sketchy.
A little later, Teissier admits that if he continues to work with students, he will be ready to take him to the institute. Clotilde is pleasantly surprised, and Antoine notes. Teissier, however, prefers that Hortense pass her exams before making an official decision.
Hortense, on the other hand, blows out candles on the terrace of Double A in the company of her mother, Vicky, and Mehdi. Even though she wasn’t supposed to come, her father ends up surprising her by attending. If Hortense is happy, Eugene is embarrassed. She then reveals that her father filed for divorce three months ago.
Crying, Eugene leaves the terrace. The daughters follow him and try to understand their parents’ situation. Eugene confides that their father met a young doctor ten years younger than him and that he fell in love with her. Hortense and Vicky are shocked but support their mother.
While Mehdi accompanies the Rochemonts to the hotel, Hortense and Vicky improvise a cooking session between the sisters in the atelier to clear their minds. After that, Hortense gets a message from her parents, who ask to see her. Vicky, meanwhile, isn’t invited.
Hortense finds her parents in a cafe. After giving an explanation, they confirm that they are going to divorce. Nevertheless, they wanted to offer him one last gift: a uniform embroidered with his name and the uniform of a starred restaurant whose chef they know well. They thus announce to their daughter that they are going to interview her. And if all goes well, this chef will be ready to take it for the second time since the start of the school year…
Mairiel interferes with Kelly
Noticing that Kelly continues to ignore Lionel and his father, Laetitia defends them by saying that they wanted to do good. But Kelly doesn’t understand the reason for their concern. He feels that he can perfectly defend himself in case of a problem, and in his eyes it does not exist. Laetitia then walks abundantly in his direction, so as not to lead him.
Later, Leticia finds Lionel and Thomas in Institute Park. According to him, Chef Lenglart embodies the characteristics of a narcissistic pervert. Laetitia suggests that someone neutral can demonstrate this to Kelly. He especially thinks of Miriel.
The deputy director calls Kelly into his office to question him about his cooperation with Lenglart. Defensively, the young girl claims that everything is going well. If Miriel isn’t there to pass judgment, she at least took Lionel and Thomas’ concerns into account. So he warns the 2nd year about what is abnormal in a professional relationship. For example, feeling humiliated or humiliated. It also gives him the address of the counseling site.
Kelly then finds Lenglart to help her with a revised fish and chips recipe. Lenglart plans to present this dish tomorrow to a journalist who is coming to interview her for a women’s magazine. Kelly is under pressure to make the dish a success and not make the reporter look like an idiot. When the young girl dares to point out the contradictions of the chef, who a few minutes earlier was boasting about his merits, the latter blames her. He then announces that he is going to introduce Kelly as his potential future number one. Kelly is on the moon.
Solal is deeply attached to the rose
In the studio, Solal is reading the first draft of an interview with Chef Guinot written by Rose. It expresses how well its work is done. But Tessier, who joins them, has a completely different opinion. He especially believes that Rose shows too much good feeling towards Auguste Armand’s description. Solal then defends Latour by explaining his project. But Teissier is convinced that Rose idealizes the father she never knew.
As soon as Tessier left, Rose recovered from her emotions. Solal considers the director’s words towards him terribly unfair. However, Rose admits that her father is a stranger to her. Solal states that he is probably very proud of him considering what he is doing at the institute. He adds that thanks to this, his father continues to live his life. Rose is impressed by his words. However, she interrupts their work session to find comfort with Antoine.
Later, Axel finds Solal alone in the hallway. The latter admits that Rose is completely in love. Axel advises her to end their partnership to avoid suffering because she has no chance. But Solal feels he can’t do without Rose.
