In 1977, the movie that revolutionized the sci-fi movie genre was released on American screens before spreading across the planet: Star Wars. A world born from the imagination of young director George Lucas, who for a long time offered him two sequels, The Empire Strikes Back, then Return of the Jedi, although the director is two other filmmakers (Irwin Kershner and Richard Marquand).

Already at the time there were rumors that these three films were in fact only part of a larger universe that would see it expand in the more or less near future with the birth of two more trilogies.

If the public could expect a continuation of the adventures of its heroes, Luke, Leia and Han Solo, this new film was actually presented as a prequel and returned to the events that preceded the original trilogy.
