Tandem: ‘I was so angry’ … Astrid Veyon reacts to Lea and Frank’s kiss in Season 7

Successfully broadcast every Tuesday on France 3 – an average of 4.44 million viewers watched episodes 3 and 4 last week – Tandem’s 7th season continues tonight with two new polls.

The 6th episode of the seventh and final group proposed at 22:00, called “Les Sacrifiés”, should have been a special talk since then, and the tandem fans are wondering if Léa Soler (Astrid Veillon) and Paul Marshall (Stéphane Blancafort) will be there. Finally admitting that they still love each other in the last episode of the series, there is a surprise kiss and a major obstacle to that long-awaited reunion.

Indeed, in the final seconds of the episode, Frank, the lawyer played by François-Dominique Blin, comes out and kisses Leah, with whom he has been working closely for the past few weeks! And all in front of Lieutenant Celestine Morel (Alban Casterman).

A kiss that shouldn’t please Paul so much if he learns the latter. And who didn’t really excite Astrid Waylon when she read the script.

“At first I was very angry because I thought it was not the right time”told us the actor, who decided to end the adventure of the tandem after seven seasons, and who will soon go behind the camera to make a TV movie, which should come to end the series.

“I think this kiss is something we could have done a little earlier.”Leah’s interpreter continues. “Because in Season 7 I didn’t want to upset the public. Even if Frank and Paul are still in a rivalry, they’re two characters who have known each other forever and are ‘friends’. Everything. And I realized that if Leah felt Letting go of this relationship will do Frank and Leah no good..

“And so I insisted that it was something that was completely surprising, that Leia was completely destabilized and that she couldn’t find a way to respond in that moment. It just seemed so wrong in the moment that each character was at. That point in the story.”.

Fortunately, Astrid Veyon, who told us that she was very involved in the tandem scripts from the beginning, was able to understand herself by the authors and the production, and this brief rapprochement between Lea and Frank, which I assure you will not lead to a love story, could have been written differently. To serve the predicament Leah finds herself in with Paul, her lifelong love and the father of her children.

“Finally, we adapted this kiss story and I think it’s going pretty well.”Astrid Veylon explained on this topic. “And it reflects the fact that Leah is completely lost to Paul.”.

Anyone hoping to see Leah and Paul will be in future episodes, so rest easy: a Leah-Frank pairing is not on the agenda.
