Max, a new stream bringing together Warner Bros. Discovery from HBO Max and Discovery Plus, launched in the US on Tuesday, May 23, featuring more than 1,000 films and episodes in 4K UHD.
Additionally, the company announced the Ultimate Ad-Free plan that offers up to four simultaneous streams, 100 downloads, and about 8x more movies and episodes in 4K than HBO Max.
Max will offer over 1,000 movies and episodes in 4K at launch, and we’ll be adding more every month as we go.

4K content is only available on the new stream’s Ultimate plan, which costs $19.99 a month in the US, three dollars more than HBO Max’s ad-free plan.
At HBO Max, there were few movies and series that premiered in the catalog in 4K. As many productions were available in 4K quality on other streams, but on Warner streaming they were limited to 1080p (FullHD).
With the change, classic movies like Casablanca, Clockwork Orange, Good guys and many more are available in UltraHD quality.
Warner Bros. Discovery also guarantees that new films released later this year will be available in the highest quality when they hit their peak.
The stream does not yet have a release date in Brazil. In Asia and Europe, Max should only be released in 2024.
