After Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fortune and Martin Scorsese’s Flower Moon Killers, this was the third major Cannes event that festival goers were looking forward to. Preceding Sulfur Reputation , The Idol aired its first two episodes on the Croisette at midnight, with Sam Levinson and two of his co-stars, Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd (also a co-creator of the HBO show) in attendance.
At the end of the show, this first look at the series was divided, between the plebiscite for the new slap “à la Euphoria” and the misunderstanding “50 Shades of Gray popstar version” clearly too hot. We open these two episodes (out of six) with AlloCiné editorial journalists in the company of Clément Cuyer and Corentin Palanchini.
AlloCiné is in Cannes during the festival, which runs until May 27. Throughout the two weeks, the editors provide articles, interviews, videos on our social networks and podcasts to make you feel the event as if you were there and know all about the films of the event.
