There are two career choices available to Hortense

In the dressing room, Mehdi expresses his joy at Hortense’s proposal. He is confident that he has every chance of winning second place in Bordeaux. He adds that he would be willing to follow her there.

Clotilde, in turn, confides in Claire that Teissier is ready to hire Hortense as a full professor from the beginning of the school year. Chef Guino is in favor of this. Hortense joins them and admits that teaching boosts her confidence. The young lady emphasizes that she needs it for the scheduled interview with “Koba”‘s manager.

Clotilde then goes to the atelier after a lesson from Hortense. He first explores Deva’s feelings. The sophomore admits he wasn’t too comfortable with Hortense’s teaching method at first, but in hindsight he realizes it helps him get going, which is no small feat. Clotilde therefore takes the opportunity to warn Emmanuel that Hortense is risking their escape if she agrees to be second in command to Cobb.

So Teissier approached Hortense at the bursar and told her that he was willing to offer her a full professorship at the beginning of the academic year. He claims that he will have other opportunities to become a second star, and his proposal cannot be refused. But Hortense has her doubts.

The Rochemonts gather at Double A for a family lunch. Hortense talks to her parents about her two career choices. Eugene and Daniel hope that he will become Koba’s second-in-command, but he is given a choice. Vicki, meanwhile, is happy to see her sister blossom into a teacher at the institute.

Vicki then goes to the studio to cook, where she is joined by Enzo. A young girl confides in him at a recent lunch. He wanted to talk about his parents’ divorce, but they were focused on Hortense. Vic wished they had that much attention for him. Enzo thinks it’s the parents’ fault that the two sisters are competing with each other.

Meanwhile, Hortense is finishing her 2nd year. All students made interesting sentences about joy. A delighted Hortense congratulates them. At the end of the course, Deva came to thank him in person, because he loved the exercise, which allowed him to touch more the pleasure of cooking and his creativity. Hortense burst into tears.

Then he finds Mehdi in the park. The latter helps him to trust his intuition. Taking a few deep breaths and closing her eyes, Hortense tries to apply her advice. And when he opens his eyes, he does have a revelation…

Axel favors his revisions

At the Economat, Ethan admits to Axel that he was right and that he left Samia for good. At the same time, Jasmine arrives to inform her girlfriend that she just got a job interview to intern at the Star House this summer. In fact, he won’t be able to get Nael into daycare, so he asks Axel to do it for him. The latter is annoyed that his revision schedule is too busy. But as Jasmine insists, he eventually relents.

Alone with his friend again, Ethan berates him for easily dismissing their views in favor of his girlfriend. Ethan reminds her that her career is just as important as her relationship. Axel admits that he is not ready for the exams and it is better to revise.

So he finds Jasmine in the park to tell her about his change of heart. Jasmine criticizes him for not telling her sooner because she really has no other choice for Nael. Since Axel can’t afford to postpone his revision program, he realizes that it’s up to him to postpone the job interview, even if it means risking missing out on the opportunity.

Axel then finds Ethan in the studio with Lionel to begin their revision. Teyssier, who takes the equipment, takes the opportunity to taste their preparations. Before leaving, he tells them that they still have work to do. Lionel turns profusely in his direction and warns the first years about the difficulty of the upcoming exams. Axel concentrates more on his work, ignoring Jasmine’s many calls.

Laetitia declares war on Lenglart

On the terrace of Double A, Kelly concocts a daydream scenario: Lenglart introducing her to a reporter for the second time. Surprised that her daughter wants to put herself forward, Laetitia falls back a bit and is content to encourage her. Thomas comes to try to resume dialogue with his daughter, but the latter is still angry with him. Laetitia protects him from Thomas.

In the kitchen, Kelly practices with Lenglart’s reworked fish and chips recipe so that everything is ready before the reporter arrives. The chef comes to taste the dish. Unsatisfied with the result, he chides Kelly for not being meticulous enough about the proportions – when it wasn’t specified on the spec sheet. Kelly is confused. Lenglart believes that he is not ready enough to meet a journalist.

After that, Leticia finds her daughter in tears in the park. He immediately comes to comfort her. But there is nothing to be done: Kelly blames herself for ruining everything and completely loses confidence in herself. Seeing him suffer like this, Laetitia can’t take it anymore. She directly confronts Lenglart, who passes out, accusing him of torturing her daughter. Laetitia also informs him that she warned Miriel about his behavior. Kelly apologizes to the chef and confronts her mother. Lenglart turns to honey again and offers the young girl to remake the recipe together. Kelly follows her without accusing her mother of hypocrisy.
