New photos would reveal that the Titanic did not sink into the iceberg: Is it all wrong in the movie?

The sinking of the Titanic in 1912 is one of the most popular historical events in the world thanks to the 1997 film starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. However, the reasons that destroyed the largest ship in the world at the time could be very different from those that we all know and that were shown on the tape. We tell you what it’s all about.

It is known that the Titanic was built between 1909 and 1912 and sank on its maiden voyage in April 1912 after hitting an iceberg while sailing from England to New York. Almost 1,500 people lost their lives in the tragic accident.

Did the Titanic not hit an iceberg as thought? New photos suggest it

Historically, it has always been said that the famous ship Titanic sank due to hitting an iceberg, but now a new theory has emerged, according to which, this may not have been the cause.

Initial investigations revealed that the tragedy was of such magnitude due to a number of conditions and irregularities, including the fact that there were not enough boats and life jackets for the more than 2,200 passengers on board. However, thanks to new photos of the vessel, it is known that the iceberg could not have been the trigger to sink the ship either.

Magellan and Atlantic Productions were tasked with taking more than 700,000 images of the ship’s remains, from different angles and with “exact 3D reconstruction,” according to the BBC.

In the photos you can see many details of the ship that you have never seen before, as well as remnants of the belongings of the passengers.

Parks Stephenson, an expert on the Titanic, told BBC News that there are still many unanswered questions about the sinking of the ship, but that these photographs will serve as evidence to reconstruct the story of that fateful night more than 100 years.
