the fans of Toy Story were taken by surprise when pixar It is disney announced Toy Story 5 in 2023. Now, interpreter of Buzz Lightyear in the original version, Tim Allen talked about the sequel’s development – and described it as “kind of quirky.”
During an interview with daily mail, Allen commented on how the fifth film in the franchise started long before the announcement – and even before the spin-off premiered Lightyear (2022), starring Chris Evans and directed by Angus MacLane.
“Toy Story 5 it had been planned for a long time, but we just couldn’t get into it,” said the actor in the conversation. “So the disney announced this about two months ago. I made friends with all the people in Toy Storyespecially Tom Hanks [intérprete de Woody].”

“They came up with this. I think it’s getting close and I said unless it could have been done really well, I know the team didn’t want to do it,” continued the star. “So none of us could mention any of that.
