The Ponto Firme project, led by Gustavo Silvestre, has brought its crochet hooks decorated with laser-cut metal and plastic pieces, inspired by designs created by artificial intelligence, to the center of São Paulo. Strong colors, wide stitches and props reminiscent of carnival costumes punctuate the pieces with a foot in surrealism, mixed with crochet hooks of various colors.




On their feet, papetes and Rider shoes, with very high heels, made the models balance on the asphalt in front of the Copan Building, where the fashion show open to the public took place, at sunset in the afternoon of the Center of São Paulo and its contours of its iconic buildings. Eventually the models positioned themselves on the stairs in front of the Copan, creating images worthy of cinema.

The 40 looks in the collection were developed by participants and graduates of the Ponto Firme Project, Adriano Marrey Penitentiary, as well as students of the Ponto Firme School, which comprises a group of immigrant women subjected to or rescued from slavery-like work in the industry. of fashion. , trans women in situations of social vulnerability, refugees, prisoners and former prisoners. Young people from the suburbs of São Paulo, who represent the Artesanato Chave collective, a point of reference for crochet accessories and caps.
