The shooter game will receive a new map and weapons inspired by Battlefield 4
EA has announced the release date of the fifth season of Battlefield 2042: Starting June 7, the game will receive a variety of new content, including a map, weapons, and a new Battle Pass.

Season 5 takes the battle to an abandoned industrial plant in the Czech Republic ravaged by war and climate change with the Reclaimed map, inspired by the game Battlefield 4. Watch the trailer:
Also expected is the seventh and final reworked original map, Hourglass, which will receive a new path and have reduced distances between objectives. This map will arrive later in the season.
Several fan-favorite Battlefield 4 weapons are also on the Season 5 roster, all with a new look and sound: the XCE Bar Repeating Rifle, powerful BFP.50 hand cannon, and Phalanx CIWS anti-aircraft gun, plus the old favorite by the fans, the GWE-46. In addition to weapons, Spring, Anti-tank and Mini Grenade grenades promise to add variety to explosives in combat.

The game will also receive several quality of life improvements in Season 5, including a new squad management system, a vehicle loadout rework, reworked Vault weapons, as well as the introduction of new weapon emplacements with thermal technology and heavy anti-aircraft artillery .
Content additions will be available to all players, as will the free Battle Pass tier with 100 tiers to unlock. A premium pass gives you access to more cosmetic items to unlock.
Year 1 Battle Pass owners will receive an epic skin and XP boost during the first two weeks of Season 5.
Battlefield 2042 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The game is included in the EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate catalogs.
