Computex returns to face-to-face form with the “together we create” theme.

The Computex 2023 edition marks the return of the fair to the face-to-face format, with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence

Computex 2023 officially takes place between May 30 and June 2, but, in an event aimed at the global press, the organization of the fair started this Monday (29) and talked a little about what we can expect for the next days.

As expected, we will be focusing heavily on Artificial Intelligence and the impacts AI can have on our lives, but the trade show organized by the Taiwan Foreign Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Computer Association (TCE) also brings five other major topics: High Performance Computing (HPC), Next Generation Connectivity, Hyperreality, Innovations and Startups, and Sustainability.

“Computing leads the rise of artificial intelligence. The wave of artificial intelligence affects human lives in unimaginable ways and rapidly changes our lives. This year, the theme of Computex is “Together, we create”. ), merging futuristic technological solutions and becoming a global event that attracts startups and industry leaders.”

Artificial intelligence is the biggest change since the arrival of the computer

The president of TAITRA was very emphatic during his keynote speech at Computex 2023, stating that artificial intelligence is the biggest change in human life since the arrival of the computer. He even mentions that the fair has been around since 1981, at the beginning of the information age, and is ready not only to follow the next steps, but also to help lead the change.

According to him, many of the presentations seen at Computex this year were generated with the help of AI tools, and we can expect “out of this world” innovations from the more than 1,000 manufacturers from 26 countries attending the show. As highlights, of course, we have brand names like nvidia, ASUS, Maple, QualcommARM, Lenovo, informationSupermicro and many others, who will be giving presentations and participating in discussion forums in the coming days.

Computex increasingly sustainable

As part of a global effort, the Computex organization is also concerned about the environment and made this year’s trade show the most sustainable ever. Presented the COMPUTEX ESG GO initiative! of activities aimed at ecological awareness. In addition to the theme-focused forums, we have specially designed ‘green’ stands, and internationally certified sustainability partners receive a special label to show they are part of a more conscious supply chain.

In addition, TAITRA announced in collaboration with Acer the launch of the “Missão Terra” app, where every download will be converted into the planting of a tree in the Amazon by the NGO One Tree Planted. The app tells a series of activities and suggestions over 21 days to make the routine more sustainable.

Computex 2023 will be held from May 30 to June 2 in Taiwan. Product Editor Wallace Moté conducts invited face-to-face coverage of TAITRA.
