Les Randonneuses on TF1: “We screamed in the snow”, the unexpected event that disrupted the filming of the last episode!

Offered every Monday evening on TF1, the mini-series Les Randonneuses, which follows six “chemo friends” who climb a mountain 4,000 meters high, ends this evening with the broadcast of its last two episodes, which are devoted to flashbacks. The characters of Morgan (Tifain Daviot) and Valerie (Claire Bylra).

Pat (Camille Chameau), Noém (Clementine Cellarie), Sarah (Alix Poisson), Karen (Josephine de Meau), Morgan and Valérie reach the end of this twisty trek, which they see as a final tribute to Eva (Elsa Lunghini), whose ashes Want to splurge after reaching the top of the dome?

This is the whole point of these last episodes, which promise that it will not be far from easy for the heroines, because after the face-to-face meeting between Karen and the wild bear last week, the heroes of Les Randonnes will have to face a snowstorm in the series finale. .

The actors had a real blizzard

If this storm was initially created for the needs of the series, namely through digital effects added in post-production, the team of the TF1 series ended up facing a real blizzard in the first days of filming. Last summer, in the Savoie resort of Val-Cenis.

“There was supposed to be a storm in the episode, it was planned in the script, the snow had to be added to the VFX. And finally there was a real storm”Producer and co-creator Fanny Rydberger told us about this major unforeseen event that significantly delayed the filming of Les Randonneuses.

“Shooting in a real storm is quite difficult, it was not easy. And as it happened in the first days of filming, the actors quickly entered the bath. They started in really difficult, not very obvious conditions. Also because of the height.

Camille Shamo, who plays Pete in the series, also remembers these difficult weather conditions and this snowstorm well, as she told the microphone. 20 minutes : “On the first day of shooting, there was a snowstorm and it was necessary to shoot the scene at the highest point of the story”.

“We met and played in a blizzard, walked for miles, followed by a difficult technical team who tried to help us as much as possible, screaming in the snow, in the most piercing cold and without a chair!”continues the actor. “Epinal’s image, once again, of an actor putting a fan in a chair while a fan is brought in, is undermined!”.

And if the production really didn’t survive this storm, it’s simply because the filming of the last episode and the mountaintop sequences had to take place at the beginning of the adventure in order to have snow. cover needed for the scenario.

“What was difficult is that we wanted to shoot in the summer, good lighting. And at the same time we needed snow, because when you get to the top, it’s a bit disappointing if you find everything”Fanny Rydberger, who created this good series on an important and necessary topic with Anna Fregones and Sylvie Audkoer, told us.
